Job Overview
Veterans Medical Transport is seeking dependable EMT-Basics and Advanced EMTs/Intermediates to join our interfacility transport team serving Kaiser Permanente patients. This is not a 911 response role — instead, you’ll provide professional patient care and transport between hospitals and clinics in a supportive, team-focused environment.
Duties
Safely transport patients between clinics, hospitals, and emergency departments
Conduct patient assessments and monitor condition during transport
Provide care within your certification level (basic life support or advanced skills as permitted)
Assist Paramedics during advanced interventions and critical transports
Document patient care accurately in ePCR
Maintain vehicles, equipment, and supplies in inspection-ready condition
Communicate effectively with dispatch, facilities, and partner crews
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Current Georgia EMT license (EMT-R, EMT-B, or EMT-A/I)
Current CPR certification
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
Ability to lift and move patients as required
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
