Job scope
As the Consultant in Emergency Medicine you’ll be
• Responsible for the leadership of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive emergency services in the Busselton Health Campus.
• Promoting patient quality and safety within the ED.
• Providing leadership, management, training, supervision and education for Senior Medical Practitioners along with the Director of Emergency Medicine and the exec.
The ED has 15 treatment areas which includes two resuscitation bays, two paed bays, acute bays, procedure room and a Fast Track area to treat patients with non-urgent complaints to help decrease waiting times and ED length of stay.

Selection criteria:
• FACEM or equivalent e.g training completed in UK, Ireland, South Africa, Canada or USA or ACEM assessment outcome of “substantially comparable”
• Evidence of commitment to professional development.
• First class communication skills.
• Commitment to clinical teaching.
• Demonstrable commitment to quality improvement and patient safety.
• Demonstrated ability to build stakeholder relationships for the betterment of all - with GPs, other hospital departments, NGOs, etc.
