Job Summary and Qualifications
Transport EMT provides Basic Life Support (BLS) patient care during interfacility transfers,assistingparamedics and other healthcare providers, and performing patient assessments, treatment, and documentation within their scope of practice. Key responsibilities includemaintainingambulance and equipment readiness, ensuring patient comfort and safety, providing thorough patient care documentation, and collaborating with other healthcare team members.

Required Qualifications & Skills
EMTCertification: Avalid state-issued EMT certification.
BLS Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification isrequired,tobe obtained within30 daysof employment.
Driver's License: A valid state driver's license with a clean driving record
PhysicalStamina:Theability to lift and transport patients, sometimes in challenging conditions.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and colleagues
Associate degree or Vocational School Graduate preferred
HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is a 204-bed facility in Palm Beach County. We offer preventative and elective programs and surgeries. We are an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Primary Stroke Center. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital has emergency services, a dedicated New Life Center and a Level II NICU. We have a full-service Children’s Hospital. Services include outpatient rehabilitation, an aquatics center, orthopedic spine center, robotics, and interventional radiology. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is located on a 94-acre campus in Palm Beach County. The surrounding areas include Wellington, Royal Palm Beach and Loxahatchee. Wellington is known for its parks and quality schools. Royal Palm Beach and Loxahatchee are known for their large acreage parcels, new homes, and equestrian community.
