About the Role: Engineering Manager / Associate Engineering Manager
You will be leading and managing a team of backend and frontend engineers, playing a critical role in developing and scaling our platform. While leadership is a key aspect of the role, we expect you to remain hands-on with coding. We are looking for a strong Backend Engineering Leader with a solid understanding of frontend practices, particularly in React Native and React.js frameworks.
Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure:
• Optimize cloud costs and ensure secure multi-cloud deployments.
• Manage Kubernetes deployments and various compute systems (VMs, CPUs, GPUs).
Team Leadership:
• Mentor and guide backend and frontend developers, fostering growth and performance.
• Conduct daily code reviews and allocate tasks to enhance quality and efficiency.
Technical Oversight:
• Architect and deploy AI solutions as microservices.
• Manage TB-scale databases, warehouses, vector stores, and search solutions.
• Optimize caching, READ/WRITE, and ETL systems for seamless scalability.
App Development:
• Lead app releases and updates for ReactNative and ReactJS-based products.
• Ensure compliance with data protocols such as GDPR, CDP, and DPDP.
Collaboration:
• Work closely with QA, Design, AI, and Product Management teams.
• Proactively conduct QA reviews to improve app performance and reliability.
AI Integration:
• Deploy and monitor preliminary AI/GenAI solutions.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Computer Science).
• 5–7 years as a Backend Engineer / Lead with strong team management skills.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes management, data pipelines, schema design, and multi-cloud infrastructure optimization.
• In-depth understanding of app development standards, including Redux, AJAX, JQuery, and Hot Reload.
• Expertise in the MERN stack, including React Native and React.js, with a proven track record of deploying and scaling applications.
• Familiarity with AI/GenAI deployment principles and monitoring.
• Knowledge of data protocols such as GDPR, CDP, and DPDP.
• Strong collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
• Strong people management skills
