Overview
The Dominick Hotel is a luxury, Four Star, Five Diamond hotel in the Soho neighborhood of New York City. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to support our engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management capabilities, advanced technical knowledge, and a proven track record in research and development. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee our luxury property, complex projects, drive innovation, and ensure the successful delivery of engineering solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Duties
Lead and coordinate engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
Oversee system design, mechanical design, and civil engineering.
Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot technical issues across manufacturing and construction processes.
Manage project scheduling, resource allocation, and risk assessment to optimize project outcomes.
Supervise the development of schematics, system architecture, and detailed technical documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate programmable logic controllers into engineering solutions.
Oversee data collection, analysis, and research activities to inform decision-making and process improvements.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality assurance protocols within laboratory environments or manufacturing settings.
Mentor team members on technical skills, systems engineering principles, and mechanical knowledge.
Foster innovation through continuous improvement initiatives in system design and process efficiency.
Experience
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields; advanced degrees in Quantum Engineering or related specialties are a plus.
Extensive experience in project management within manufacturing or construction industries.
Demonstrated expertise in system design, mechanical engineering principles, and laboratory research environments.
Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and develop effective corrective actions.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments with complex technical requirements.
