In your role as a Software Engineering Manager in Platform Security Engineering, you'll be taking on a portfolio of components related to network access, communication, and security. You and your team will partner with architecture, quality engineering, and reliability teams to provide the best possible services for our internal consumers.
As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for-
• Taking ownership of a part of Platform Security Engineering's diverse component portfolio
• Fostering innovation in the team to develop fast, scalable and secure systems
• Handling day-to-day management tasks such as staff 1-1 meetings, performance reviews, and coaching/mentoring
• Collaborating with partners to build an achievable roadmap for enhancing existing software and new software
• Improving safety and stability of services; spotting and eliminating problems and risks
• Ensuring that software built in your group remains testable, monitorable, compliant, and secure
Do What You Love
To be successful in this role you will-
• Have a Bachelor's degree & relevant experience in any one languages (C++, Java, Python, Go, or Rust)
• Have 10+yrs experience leading deployment of software to traditional servers as well as to cloud computing environments
• Demonstrate knowledge of at least one of the following Internet protocols- TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, TLS/SSL, DHCP
• Demonstrate the ability to think thoroughly with attention to detail as required in developing security-related applications
• Possess robust time and project management skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate openness and flexibility to learn new technologies; approach changes with agility and growth mindset
