Are you comfortable communicating in Dutch and looking to grow in a technical-commercial role? As an Engineering Proposal Lead at Johnson Controls, you’ll support our Account Executives and Application Engineers during the design and proposal phase of fire detection projects across the Benelux region. You’ll help validate technical assumptions, prepare cost estimates, and create customer proposals, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
What you will do
• Assist Account Executives with detailed estimating and client presentations.
• Mentor engineers on fire detection/alarm systems and ensure quality standards.
• Prepare proposals including take-offs, specification reviews, and special quotes.
• Review documents and respond promptly to requests.
• Collaborate with sales, project managers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Interpret engineering drawings and follow standardized design procedures.
What we look for
• Education in electrical, mechanical, or other technical field.
• Working knowledge of English and conversational Dutch (technical Dutch is not required).
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
Nice To Have:
• AutoCAD experience.
• Previous work experience with fire detection/alarm systems.
