JOB BRIEF: I am urgently hiring for the profile of 'English Editor' at our esteemed organization CBS Publishers and Distributors Pvt. Ltd. for the Patparganj Industrial Area location.

10:00 AM TO 6:30 PM
COMPENSATION: 25K to 35K+ PF + Medical Insurance + Bonus + Leave Encashment + Good Yearly Increments

We are looking for a candidate who is well-versed with the concept and approach of EdTech Industry and has enough passion and energy to take the company to the next level.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The role of an Sr. English Editor with CBS Publishers & Distributors Private Limited, is to produce an error-free edited proofs in both hard as well as in soft copy. The candidate has to work keeping in mind. The deadline and maintaining the high editing standard of the organization. This is senior level position and so the editor has to maintain the sanctity of his/her position. He or she should have eye for detail and the ability to notice small but important points that another individual might not notice.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· To edit medical/scientific contents for print & digital edition
· To coordinate with author from the collection of Manuscript to the final approval
· To check the plagiarism of the text & images received by the author/faculty/content writers and to coordinate with author/faculty/content writers to make the content plagiarism free
· To work closely with designer, page setter and proofreaders to give the final shape of the book
· To monitor and keep records of every stage of editorial and production process
· To provide inputs and idea to the authors/contributors to make the product audience oriented
· Singularly responsible for successfully closing projects, including interacting with authors to generate appropriate content, editing and processing and finally publishing.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Experience of min 3-5 years in same Portfolio
· Good command over English language
· Must be from the Science Background
· The knowledge of publishing manual of style, preferably Chicago Manual of Style
· Knowledge of plagiarism software and tools (Optional)
· Good understanding of copyright or intellectual property rights
· Insightful exposure to the entire spectrum of activities involved in production/editing, writing,
· Highly creative, proactive and achievement driven with a strong work ethic and an aptitude for effective implementation and execution.
