Dear Candidate, Greetings from JG International School! We are seeking a talented and experienced English Teacher to join our school in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in English language and literature, as well as experience teaching English at the secondary level, preferably in an international curriculum or CISCE syllabus. Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive lesson plans for English language and literature classes, aligned with the international curriculum or CISCE syllabus.
• Foster a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking among students, and encourage effective communication skills in English.
• Teach grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills using innovative teaching methods and resources.
• Analyze literary works, including novels, plays, and poems, and guide students in literary analysis and interpretation.
• Conduct interactive discussions and debates to enhance students' understanding and expression of ideas in English.
• Provide constructive feedback on written assignments, essays, and creative projects, helping students improve their writing skills.
• Assess student performance through various assessment methods, such as tests, quizzes, presentations, and projects.
• Identify individual learning needs and provide additional support or enrichment activities to cater to different student abilities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities that integrate English with other subjects.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in English language teaching, literature, and educational technology, and incorporate them into the classroom.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
• B.Ed degree is mandatory.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience teaching English at the secondary level, preferably with experience in an international curriculum or CISCE syllabus.
• Strong command of the English language, including grammar, vocabulary, and literature.
• Familiarity with the curriculum frameworks and assessment practices of the international curriculum or CISCE syllabus.
• Passion for teaching and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and motivate students.
• Proficiency in using technology tools and resources for teaching English.
• Flexibility and willingness to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the school's overall educational program.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
