Description of Vacancy:
English Teacher, Permanent, full-time.
This position is to commence at the beginning of Term 2, 2026 or earlier by negotiation.
We seek a dynamic, innovative and enthusiastic teacher who is a team player to join our English Learning Area. We invite applications for a dynamic and student-centred teacher of English who is passionate about delivering high quality education and nurturing a love for literature and language in our students.
As a valued member of our dedicated English Learning Area, you will contribute to an innovative and collaborative educational environment, where all support professional growth and development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in teaching English, preferably up to NCEA Level 3.

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers Collective Agreement (STCA). The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $65,685 to $105,686, depending on the applicant’s qualifications and experience. An individual’s actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
We would anticipate the hours of work to be approximately 40 per week.
