Job Description
The British School, New Delhi seeks an experienced English Teacher familiar with the IGCSE as well as the IB Diploma Programme to teach students across secondary school. The appointee will have the ability to collaborate and develop the English language and literature curriculum in such a way that is stimulating and challenging for students of all abilities, and engages both first language and second language (ESL) learners. They will also develop assessments to monitor the progress of student learning and achievement; use data on student achievement to inform planning and teaching; and share relevant feedback with students, parents and external institutions.
The teacher should be able to keep pace with the demands of a changing and evolving curriculum and also keep abreast with 21st century pedagogy. The teacher should be able to use and integrate technology in their teaching as well as use IT in communicating with students, parents and colleagues.
The appointee must be a post graduate in English with a teaching qualification/degree from a reputed institution. A minimum of 3 years teaching experience in IB and IGSCE in a leading international school is preferable. Excellent spoken and written English is a must for this position.
