• Providing support on a wide range of database development and administration functions in a RAC configuration, including troubleshooting database issues, advising clients on new database features, and leading studies to evaluate the effectiveness of current database architecture
• Working closely with stakeholders (onshore and offshore) to troubleshoot live application issues in the timely fashion (CMD, Outages etc..)
• Recommending database configuration changes to increase database performance to the Database Professionals
• Bring in Industry best practices and apply in the database management
• Working collaboratively with Development, Application Support and Quality Assurance teams
• Designing architecture for high availability database and security-first approach, sizing/scalability, and performance
• Facilitating to upskill team through technical training sessions and enable talent transformation
• Assessing and understanding the operational requirements to improve operational performance and business processes.
• Assessing and finding automation solutions in the day-to-day activities.

You have strong technical skills, and eager to work in a collaborative environment with global teams to drive the business requirements, develop end to end personalized solutions for customers and communicate status and progress to leadership. You work independently and are always willing to learn new technologies. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are able to interact with various stakeholders and cross functional teams to implement business solutions.
You'll need to have:
• Bachelor's degree with Four or more years of experience.
• Four or more years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of Databases like Oracle, Postgres, MySQL
• Strong knowledge in DB admin function with exposure to cloud migrations (AWS, OCI, GCP) , DB modernization, and transformation, data center consolidation
• Strong knowledge in expdp / impdp
• Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC
• Strong knowledge in Oracle Data Guard & Oracle Golden Gate
• Strong knowledge in AWS Database Admin tasks.
• Strong knowledge in linux shell scripting
• Exposure to Oracle EXADATA environments
• Exposure to Oracle Container Databases
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
• A Master's degree.
• Exposure to monitoring tools like NewRelic, Splunk, OEM etc and automation of monitoring
• Exposure on the Druid and Memsql database technologies
• Exposure on the Mongodb and Cassandra
• Exposure on Flyway, Liquibase
• Exposure to Database DevOps principles
• Exposure in developing functional logics in PostgreSQL and Oracle
• Knowledge on Linux admin tasks
• Knowledge in RMAN concepts
• Database Tablespace / User / File system management
• Production support functions for DB maintenance and outage management
