We are seeking a highly skilled and technically strong Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and secure enterprise-level network infrastructures. This role requires hands-on expertise in AWS cloud security, network monitoring, network architecture, and incident response. You will be responsible for conducting sensitive and complex investigations, such as data loss, APTs, and malware-related events, ensuring the organization’s systems remain protected.
Essential Functions1. Network Security Design & Implementation (MUST HAVE)
Design and deploy secure, scalable network security architectures.
Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security technologies.
Architect and build cost-effective AWS cloud security infrastructure aligned with compliance and best practices.
Configure, deploy, and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
Ensure architectures comply with industry-standard cybersecurity frameworks.
Plan and execute the migration of legacy IaC infrastructure to the latest Terraform versions.
2. Network Monitoring & Analysis (MUST HAVE)
Integrate monitoring tools to detect and respond to security threats.
Analyze network traffic and behavioral patterns to identify anomalies.
Lead incident response efforts and troubleshoot complex cross-environment connectivity issues.
Drive initiatives for enhanced network observability, performance, and security posture.
3. Vulnerability Management (Good to Have)
Perform regular vulnerability assessments across the network.
Develop and implement remediation strategies to reduce security risk.
Partner with IT teams to apply security patches and updates promptly.
4. Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with cross-functional engineering and IT teams to embed security into core infrastructure.
Provide training, mentorship, and global guidance to security and IT staff.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
Extensive experience in network security engineering, with strong focus on AWS-based security solutions.
Relevant certifications preferred:
AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty
CCNP Security
Or equivalent advanced security/networking certifications
Hands-on experience with firewall and VPN configuration.
Strong understanding of IDS/IPS technologies, network protocols, and encryption standards.
Excellent troubleshooting abilities for security incidents and complex network issues.
Strong communication skills—able to articulate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $52.35 - $70.00 per hour
