Job Title: Driller Helper
Description
Actalent is seeking a Driller Helper that is excited to learn more about being on a geotechnical drilling rig.
• Working under the supervision of the Geotechnical Drilling Crew Leader
• Will be working on an auger/rotary drilling machine
• Will assist a driller in the field with soil boring, soil sampling, monitoring of well installation and rock coring
• Hand write report findings
• Collect and sort field samples for the lab
• Replace drill augers and additional duties directed by the lead driller
• Could travel 25% of the year through out the state of Kansas
• Will be lifting and pushing upwards of 75+ pounds
• Most of the work will be done outside
Skills & Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Comfortable lifting and pushing 75lbs
• Comfortable working outside
• Valid Drivers required
