This is a full-time, in-office, entry-level position designed for someone who wants to learn the mortgage industry from the ground up.
You will start as an Operations Assistant (OA)—learning the foundational skills of mortgage operations—then, as you develop, transition into a Loan Officer Assistant (LOA), supporting the front-end of the mortgage process and helping clients through one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives.

Phase 1: Operations Assistant (OA)
You’ll learn how a mortgage file works from the inside out.
Responsibilities
Organize, label, and review borrower documents
Assist with introductory income & asset review
Enter and update data in Encompass and internal systems
Communicate with third-party vendors and customers
Follow detailed checklists to ensure operational standards are met
Identify potential issues early and help resolve them
Support processors, underwriters, and loan officers as needed
Phase 2: Loan Officer Assistant (LOA)
Once you’ve mastered the basics, you will transition into supporting our Loan Officers directly.
Responsibilities
Call prospective leads and schedule appointments
Gather borrower documents for VA, Conventional, and Jumbo loans
Prepare application packages for approval and closing
Verify accuracy of documentation
Manage pre-closing checklists
Provide outstanding client communication and service
Assist with phone coverage, scheduling, scanning, and administrative tasks
Help Loan Officers stay focused on selling by taking tasks off their plate
Work toward obtaining your NMLS license (with company support)

Requirements
6 months–3 years of professional work experience
Mortgage experience is a plus, but not required
Familiarity with Encompass is a plus
Must be comfortable learning new systems
Must obtain an NMLS Mortgage Loan Originator License within six months of transitioning to the LOA portion of the role
Full-time, in-office position only (not remote)
