Responsibilities
Developing Safety Policies and Procedures: Creating and implementing safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state regulations.
Conducting Risk Assessments: Identifying potential hazards and assessing risks associated with various workplace activities.
Training and Education: Organizing safety training programs for employees to promote awareness and understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
Incident Investigation: Investigating workplace accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Compliance Monitoring: Ensuring the workplace complies with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and other relevant safety regulations.
Emergency Preparedness: Developing and implementing emergency response plans, including fire drills, evacuation procedures, and first aid training.
Safety Inspections and Audits: Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential safety issues and ensure corrective measures are taken.
Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, training, and compliance activities.
Safety Culture Promotion: Fostering a culture of safety within the organization by promoting safe work practices and encouraging employee involvement in safety initiatives.
Equipment and Facility Safety: Ensuring that all equipment and facilities meet safety standards and are regularly maintained to prevent accidents.
Collaboration with Management: Working with management and other departments to integrate safety practices into all aspects of the organization’s operations.
Health and Wellness Programs: Implementing programs that promote employee health and wellness, including ergonomics, stress management, and wellness initiatives.
Qualifications and About You
• Proven experience as safety manager
• Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
• Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
• Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
• Excellent organizational and motivational skills
• Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
• BSc / B.E / B Tech Engineering, safety management or relevant field is preferred
• Valid qualification in occupational health and safety
Maximum CTC 8 to 10 L Per Annum
