Australian Fundraising / Sydney Jumping Castle Hire
Event Labourer Position-Inflatable Set-ups
Duties are:
Loading up inflatables and necessary equipment from our base location at Doonside 2767 to various locations within Sydney and sometimes beyond.
The laboring work consists of lifting equipment including weight bags, blower devices and safety mats as well as driving pegs to secure the inflatables, etc. The use of trolleys in moving heavy equipment, including petrol generators is a regular part of this role and to do this without damage to property to the best of our ability and sometimes under hard circumstances is required.
In addition, customer relations is a major aspect to this role. This can include, dealing with children, teachers and parents at school events or customers at their residence. You will be discussing the positioning of the inflatable(s), signing of hire agreements, money handling, verbally explaining safety aspects to customers, including inclement weather conditions, along with any problems or difficulties which must be handled in a professional manner that may occur during the hire period.
Our main role is to setup the equipment in a safe manor and to prevent injury to the best of our ability, and naturally abiding to all standards and protocols during this process. This involves ensuring there are no trip hazards from the equipment we install, that we have installed the equipment away from obvious hazards and within the safe distances from obstacles and that we have setup the equipment according to the Sydney Jumping Castle Hire standards, which coincides with the “Inflatable Operator Daily Check List” that you will be required to complete on each and every job, ensuring that you have met these obligations.
The company will provide a vehicle, petrol as well as tolls for this role. A current driving license is required. Fluent English and good communication skills are a must.
Full Training is provided and consists of:
Loading and unloading vehicles, learning schedule runs, codes of practice, equipment used and safe practices.
Completing company vehicle log books and doing basic vehicle maintenance and leaving vehicles clean for co-workers is a requirement.
Setting up and deflating inflatables, to regulatory standards using check list systems.\

A manual driver’s license is preferred
Pay: $33.19 - $39.83 per hour
Average hours: 7hrs to 38hrs per week

Week days and weekend work available. No experience in the field is required, however what is essential is strength and the ability to work independently sometimes under difficult circumstances.
