Do you love crafting exceptional event experiences? Enjoy working behind the scenes to ensure every detail runs smoothly? Looking to work with a team that values quality, structure, and purpose?

We’re ADAPT — Australia’s leading tech-focused research, advisory and events company — and we’re looking for an organised and proactive Event Manager to help us deliver premium, meaningful experiences for senior executives and global thought leaders.

About the Role
As our Event Manager, you’ll work closely with our Director of Event Operations and wider team to support the planning and delivery of ADAPT’s industry-leading executive conferences and private roundtables.

These include our flagship Edge Events — full-day gatherings of Australia’s most senior tech and business leaders — as well as curated, invitation-only digital and in-person sessions. You’ll contribute across the full lifecycle of each event: from preparation and coordination to seamless execution onsite.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering polished, high-quality work, enjoys working collaboratively, and thrives in environments where process, attention to detail, and meaningful outcomes matter.

Manage the planning, coordination and delivery of ADAPT’s premium executive conferences
Act as the primary event operations power-user for ADAPT’s custom event platform (Edge+)
Be the onsite lead for events – proactively coordinating staff and responding to changes as needed
Manage onsite event delivery including bump-in, setup, registration, guest experience, and bump-out
Contribute to testing and new feature development of ADAPT’s proprietary event management platform and mobile app (Edge+)
Ensure every detail is buttoned up — from collateral and badges to briefing documents and bump-in guides
Research and coordinate venues and suppliers for custom private events
Support the delivery of digital events and physical roundtable events as required
Support the event delivery of marketing and sales activities to help promote ADAPT’s services
Contribute to internal company event activities like team outings and end of year celebrations

What You’ll Bring
2+ years of experience in hands-on event management, coordination, or operations
Experience with digital event management and delivery platforms such as CVENT, EventAir, Zoom Webinars, etc)
Hands-on experience with CRMs such as Salesforce
Exceptional Project Management capabilities with experience using tools such as Asana, ClickUp, or Monday.com to manage the delivery of events
Calm, solutions-focused mindset — even when multiple things are happening at once
Ability to be assertive and proactive in coordinating internal stakeholders for delivery – being vocal around key milestones and risks
A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves
Ability and openness to travel interstate on occasion
A passion for delivering exception experiences

Why Work with ADAPT?
