Petfinity is seeking an Event Planner who can bring a unique flair to our diverse range of pet-focused and community events. You will be pivotal in brainstorming, planning, coordinating, and executing events that reflect Petfinity's commitment to excellence and community involvement and in conducting post-event evaluations. Your efforts will bring joy to pet owners and foster a sense of community through engaging and meaningful events.
Responsibilities
• Innovative Event Planning: Conceptualize, develop, organize, and execute various events, including pet birthday parties, corporate functions, educational workshops, memorials, and community outreach activities, ensuring each event creates memorable experiences that resonate with our guests.
• Collaboration and Promotion: Work closely with our marketing team to promote events through social media, email campaigns, and other channels, ensuring maximum reach and engagement.
• Vendor and Partner Coordination: Strong negotiation skills to secure the best deals with vendors, suppliers, and partners, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality and collaborating to ensure smooth event execution and top-quality service.
• Budget and Logistics Management: Oversee event budgets, schedules, and logistics, maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail.
• Exceptional Customer Service: Provide outstanding service to clients and guests, addressing questions or concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Creative Event Conception: Continuously introduce innovative event concepts that align with Petfinity’s mission and values. Incorporate insights from community events and competitor activities to stay ahead of industry trends and keep our offerings relevant and competitive.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with and lead the Petfinity team to ensure events enhance the overall experience for pets and their families.
• Crisis Management: Ability to handle unexpected and potentially stressful situations gracefully, employing critical and fast thinking while maintaining a calm and efficient demeanour to ensure events proceed smoothly despite any challenges.
• Data Analysis: Skilled in acquiring and analyzing event data and feedback to improve future events, understand attendee preferences, and measure each event’s success.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, ensuring every aspect of the event is meticulously planned and executed, from decorations to attendee experience.
• Networking Abilities: Maintain a strong network within the events industry to source top vendors and entertainers and stay informed about industry trends and opportunities.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as an Event Planner or Coordinator with a successful event management track record.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to accommodate event schedules.
