Job Description
The Events Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the planning and execution of BCBC’s in-person and virtual programming, with a focus on executive roundtables and policy forums that convene senior business leaders, government officials, and thought leaders. This position also contributes to day-to-day office operations by providing some administrative support and helping create a welcoming and professional environment for guests.
This role is ideal for someone early in their events career who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and interested in the intersection of business and public policy.
Key Responsibilities
Event Support & Coordination
Coordinate logistics for executive roundtables, in-office forums, and select member events.
Support senior staff with planning and delivery of large annual events, as needed.
Assist with event setup, guest management, speaker coordination, catering, and on-site execution.
Maintain the BCBC events calendar and update event-related documentation.
Office Support
Greet guests and provide front-of-house support on scheduled office days.
Assist with office event setup and ensure common spaces are tidy and welcoming.
Support coordination of meeting spaces, supplies, and event materials.
Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with guests and member companies to coordinate event participation and logistics.
Collaborate with the communications team to help prepare invitations, guest lists, and promotional materials.
Qualifications & Experience
1–4 years of experience in event coordination, administration, or hospitality.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Positive, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, small-team environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Canva, Eventbrite, or CRM systems is a plus.
This is an 18-month full-time hybrid position based in Vancouver, B.C., with the potential for extension. The salary range is $50,000 to $60,000 per year. Due to the nature of the role, occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work may be required.
