Duties and Responsibilities:
To effectively complete the responsibilities of this position, the candidate must be able to complete the following:
Complete hazard assessments
Complete daily preventative maintenance checks on equipment.
Able to excavate mainline and service trenches
Able to excavate tie-ins
Crane pipe
Qualifications and Experience:
Knowledge of heavy equipment operations and site activities
Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Understand elevations and grading
Listens to direction
Strong communication skills
Dedicated, reliable, hard-working
Must be able to work as a member of a greater team
Education:
Clean drivers abstract
Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) Certification
Active Ground Disturbance
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Must be available to work long hours, including evenings and weekends, during the work season, April to December.
Must be physically fit to perform manual labour in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting.
Must have CSA-approved safety boots.
