ABOUT THE ROLE

In this Auckland-based role, you will join our team of subject matter experts in Site Operations, Quality and Safety in relation to construction processes and activities. You will work closely alongside the Upper North Island project teams and our National Team to achieve operational excellence and meet the company’s performance objectives, providing direct support, coaching, advice and compliance direction and guidance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in development and updates of the Company’s project management systems in accordance with the Upper North Island strategic plan.
Implement and enhance planning practices to optimize productivity, quality and safety on site.
Provide guidance, advice, coaching and direction to project teams in relation to site operations, quality and safety.
Assist in onboarding and training site team members.
Establish staff competence and comprehension through monthly project reviews and Individual assessments.
Monitor, advise and assist in implementing changes to company processes, and on site, as required by legislation and contractual changes in the construction industry.
Attend National Team meetings and Project Team meetings as required.
Maintain internal performance standards through site operations & quality reviews, including contributing to monthly reporting on compliance of operations.
Work with individuals to benchmark current performance with a view to enabling growth and identifying learning opportunities.
Requirements

We are looking for someone with a background in Project Management and demonstrated experience in managing construction contracts, site operations, quality and safety.
Thorough understanding of commercial construction contracts, specifically the NZS3910 contract suite and SA 2017.
An understanding of the New Zealand Building Act and consenting processes.
Relevant tertiary qualification.
Experience with MS Projects.
Strong communication & relationship building skills with a focus on problem solving using a first principles approach.
