About the Role

A rare and exciting opportunity has opened up for a passionate and talented Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. You will be responsible for ensuring the culinary operation meets guests' needs, whilst focussing on growing revenues and maximising the financial performance of the operation through an engaged team of colleagues.


Some of the responsibilities include

Hands on management of the day-to-day Culinary operations
Actively lead, coach and mentor all members of the team to ensure they are equipped to do their job while also developing them for the future
Demonstrate Hyatt's purpose of caring for people to be their best at all times while coaching heads of kitchens to embody the Hyatt values
Develop new menus in line with brand standards while also demonstrating a passion for trying new culinary trends and seasonal ingredients
Ensure that the kitchen operation is managed strictly in accordance with food safety and occupational health & safety standards
Work closely with the sales and front of house teams to ensure that customer satisfaction is always exceeded
Maximise revenue and manage all operational expenses in accordance with budgets

Qualifications

What you will bring to the role:

Recent experience in a similar role within the hotel industry is essential.
Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Proven success in leading and developing teams
Knowledge of the market, demonstrated flair and creativity with a focus on locally and ethically sourced products
Strong interpersonal skills used to build effective relationship with all stakeholders
Ability to drive the Culinary operation ensuring that key goals are achieved with regard to financials, guest and colleague metrics
