People Management
1. Manage a team of about 50 people (and growing) - a mix of CAs, Accountants, Articles
a. About 40 clients
b. Working with Teams across other locations
c. Working with teams in other verticals
d. Interaction with partners In Bangalore and partners in other locations
e. Interact with Clients on a daily basis - largely based out of Bangalore
f. Liaising with Government authorities
g. Working with CFOs/ Controllers of MNCs
h. Working with Partners/ Directors of the Big 4 firms
Technical Capabilities :
2. He/ she needs to be a CA with 10+ years of post qualification experience.
a. Coming from a Professional Services background - part or full
b. If worked with the Big 4 for some time would surely be an added advantage
c. Should have been deeply involved in Client servicing and front ending
d. Should have good knowledge of Tax, Accounting and Other compliances like GST/ Company Law and FEMA
e. Should have a good understanding of the Labour Laws
f. A general understanding of state taxes and compliances
g. Understanding of the Banking functions
h. Understanding of the Business World
i. Some understanding of cross-cultural issues - our clients are Japanese or American largely
Profile and Experience :
3. He or she could have worked with the Big 4 and then worked in a mid-size firm or been a partner in his own firm.
a. Support corporate tax return filing of group companies
b. Support transfer pricing compliance
c. TDS support
4. Expectations
- The person will be required to work around managing the execution team - 50% of the time
- Business Development -25% of time Admin support and Tech development - balance
- We work strictly on Budgets, so all our business revolves around budgetary controls. Both for top line as well as costs.
- The person should be technically savvy or at least inclined towards use of technology
