Job Description
Ensure that the staff is working together as a cohesive team by inspecting grooming and attire to rectify any deficiencies. Communicate effectively with guests, fellow employees, or different departments to ensure guest needs are met. Respond to and endeavor to fulfill any special banquet event arrangements. Take charge of setting up the banquet area/room, ensuring it is clean and equipped with the proper furniture and equipment. Ensure table set-ups are clean, neat, and meet group requirements and company standards, resolving any issues promptly. Keep track of essential information by documenting it in the appropriate department logbook.
Support management in various aspects including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees. Foster positive working relationships with team members, aiding them in achieving common goals. Adhere to company policies and safety procedures, reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to the manager. Complete safety training and certifications. Maintain a clean and professional appearance, safeguard confidential information, and protect company assets. Greet and assist guests according to company standards, catering to their service needs, and showing genuine appreciation. Communicate clearly and professionally with others and handle phone calls with appropriate etiquette. Ensure quality standards are met consistently. Verify information accurately across various formats. Be physically capable of standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, lifting, carrying, and moving objects of varying weights. Perform tasks as requested in a reasonable manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- License or Certification: None required.
