About the Opportunity
Cancer Services is seeking a highly organised and driven individual to play a key role in supporting executive operations and patient wellness programs.

From coordinating high-level meetings and facilitating CINSW grant processing, to preparing strategic reports and professional correspondence, your contributions will be at the heart of innovation and care. You'll manage wellness bookings, contribute to cancer care initiatives, and help bring media-ready materials to life—including our Annual Report.

This role offers variety and challenge, requiring a masterful ability to prioritise across diverse teams, build relationships with external partners, and work collaboratively within a flexible, multi-skilled environment.

What You'll be Doing
The Secretary / Administrative Assistant is responsible to the Cancer Services Development Manager. The position requires flexibility in the provision of administrative, clerical and secretarial support at an executive level.

Where You'll Be Working
Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, offering a wide range of state-wide services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. As a key teaching facility for UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University, it provides extensive clinical services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, paediatrics, and mental health services. The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds.

The ongoing $830 million redevelopment as part of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct is transforming the hospital into a global hub for medical innovation. This redevelopment will expand clinical services, enhance research and teaching facilities, and introduce state-of-the-art equipment and amenities.

Demonstrated ability to prepare professional documents, reports and presentation material using Microsoft Office software packages including Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint.
Proven organizational skills including diary management, events and meeting preparation, minute taking and follow up.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to problem solve and locate resources when necessary.
High level of proficiency in all secretarial duties with experience in a health care setting.
