We are seeking a skilled and creative Museum Designer / Exhibition Designer to conceptualize, design, and execute engaging exhibits for our museum/gallery. The ideal candidate combines spatial design, storytelling, and audience engagement to create memorable visitor experiences. This role involves close collaboration with curators, content developers, architects, and fabricators.
Design and develop exhibitions, displays, and installations from concept to completion.
Collaborate with curators, historians, and stakeholders to interpret content into immersive spatial designs.
Create detailed floor plans, 3D models, mockups, and visual presentations for proposed designs.
Ensure accessibility, safety, and flow of visitor traffic within the exhibition space.
Work with vendors and fabricators to manage production, construction, and installation.
Oversee on-site setup and ensure design integrity throughout execution.
Maintain brand and institutional design standards in all exhibit work.
Degree in Exhibition Design, Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in museum/exhibition/environmental design.
• Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator and Photoshop).
• Strong understanding of spatial planning, lighting, and visitor experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
