We're Hiring: Interior Architect (Full-Time, NYC)
For Those Who Believe Design is a Portal to Transformation
Are you deeply passionate about interior architecture and the artistry of high-end residential design? Do you dream in custom millwork details, thrive in Revit (it's the ONLY way, really!), and believe interiors should tell a story—not just look beautiful?
At Kati Curtis Design, we’re seeking a full-time Interior Architect in New York City to join our spirited and highly creative team. This role is for someone who can see the soul of a space and shape it with both precision and poetry.
As our Interior Architect, you’ll lead construction-focused design projects from concept through completion, collaborating with clients, consultants, and contractors to bring extraordinary environments to life. You'll create and manage construction documents in Revit, develop bespoke furniture drawings, input FF&E schedules, and oversee lighting, plumbing, and electrical planning. You'll also review shop drawings, manage bidding, navigate building documentation and approvals, coordinate trades, and ensure everything stays on time, on budget, and up to our meticulous standards.
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You
• Are fluent in Revit
• Love managing complex, multi-layered projects from concept to construction
• See patterns, color, and ornament as powerful design tools—not afterthoughts
• Believe every detail matters, from the placement of a switch to the curve of a sofa arm
• Are obsessed with quality, calm under pressure, and a natural at client communication
• Think animals and astrology are essential parts of life
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
• Extensive experience in high-end residential design and construction
• Expert in Revit; proficient in Excel, Asana, and Microsoft Office
• Deep knowledge of interior detailing, custom millwork, kitchen and bath design
• Experience reviewing shop drawings, coordinating consultants, and managing site logistics
• Thorough understanding of NYC building codes, DOB filings, and construction best practices
• Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills
• Able to juggle multiple projects with grace, clarity, and creative leadership
This is not a role for someone who loves minimalism and white boxes.
We’re known for bold, soulful, layered interiors—and we’re looking for someone who gets it, loves it, and can execute it brilliantly.
