Job Description

At KT OOSH, our children have told us that what matters most to them is feeling welcomed, supported, and having access to fun activities that match their age and interests. They value having familiar educators who know them well, help organise engaging experiences, and support them throughout the session.

We are seeking experienced Team Leaders and Educators who have previous experience working with children and who can take responsibility for a designated year group and group of children and support the daily experiences of children attending before and after school care. This includes ensuring age-appropriate activities and resources are available, supporting smooth routines such as sign in and sign out, and working alongside educators to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.

Our Team Leaders and Educators play an important role in supporting children’s sense of belonging, building positive relationships, and ensuring the program reflects children’s interests, voice, and wellbeing.

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced and reliable Permanent Part Time and Casual Team Leaders and Educators to join our team. This role offers an excellent work life balance, with morning and afternoon shifts that allow flexibility through the middle of the day.

As a Team Leader, you will take responsibility for a designated year group, supporting children, educators, and daily operations to ensure a safe, engaging, and well organised program.

Key Responsibilities

Previous experience in OOSH
Lead and support a designated year group, ensuring children feel safe, included, and supported
Ensure age-appropriate activities and resources are prepared, available, and accessible for children in your group
Support the planning and delivery of engaging programs aligned with My Time, Our Place
Complete sign in and sign out processes for children within your year group accurately and in line with procedures
Support educators within your group, offering guidance and modelling positive practice
Assist with daily administration and required documentation
Support compliance with the National Quality Framework and service policies
Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and team members

Participate in mandatory child safe training, including child protection and reporting obligations as required by NSW legislation.
Notify the Approved Provider immediately if their Working With Children Check status changes, including suspension, interim bar, or bar

Qualifications and Experience

Previous experience in Before and After School Care or a similar setting
Experience supporting or leading a group of children is highly regarded
Strong organisation and time management skills
Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certifications (highly regarded)
Working with Children Check (required)
Police Check (required)
Food Handlers Certificate or willingness to obtain
