Position Overview:
• Early Years Programme (EYP) Teacher
As an EYP teacher at Riverdale World School, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of young learners aged 3 to 6 years. Your focus will be on fostering inquiry-based learning, supporting holistic development, and creating a supportive and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development & Implementation
• Design and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework.
• Integrate transdisciplinary themes to encourage inquiry and exploration.
• Assess and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of young learners.
Classroom Management & Student Support
• Establish a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
• Implement strategies that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Collaborate with support staff to address individual learning needs.SimplyHired+1Shine+1
Parental & Community Engagement
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Organize and participate in school events that involve the wider community.
• Provide guidance to parents on supporting learning at home.
Professional Development & Collaboration
• Engage in continuous professional learning to stay abreast of best practices in early childhood education.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and reflect on teaching practices.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives and committees.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Experience in teaching early years, preferably within an IB PYP setting.
• Strong understanding of child development and inquiry-based learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Hindi or other regional languages is advantageous.
