Job Description
Hi-Vac Corporation is seeking an Operator Helper for the Fabrication Department in the manufacturing facility. The Operator Helper assists with the Plasma Table, Brake Press, and other fabrication equipment. Candidates with fabrication or welding experience are ideal for this roll. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assists Operators in the Fabrication Department.
• Inspecting quality of work and fabricated parts.
• Properly clocking into jobs for costing.
• Communicating with the Operator and floor supervisor.
• Ability to run a forklift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and operate overheard crane.
Education, Skills and/or Experience:
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent.
• Training from a post-secondary education such as a Technical School, or experience in metal fabrication or welding shop.
• Forklift experience a plus but not required.
