BCIT’s School of Health Sciences is seeking a regular, full-time (1.0 FTE) Faculty to join our Neonatal Nursing Specialty team in the Specialty Nursing Program.
We provide innovative education through leadership, scholarship, and collaboration, to advance excellence in Specialty Nursing practice in the Global Healthcare Environment. Duties & Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide excellent teaching and learning experiences for students through innovative classroom, simulation, clinical and distance on-line education.
Participate in future focused curriculum development by designing, developing, evaluating and revising high quality learning materials.
Collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen program partnerships and improve health outcomes.
Actively participate in projects and initiatives in the Specialty Nursing Department, School of Health Sciences and BCIT.
Contribute to and support a healthy, collegial and scholarly work environment through professional development, professional practice and/or participation in research.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Five years recent clinical experience in Neonatal nursing specialty; some tertiary care experience required.
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred (one degree must be in Nursing).
Experience in nursing education.
Advanced Specialty Nursing Certificate or CNA Certification preferred.
Must possess a participatory, learner-centered philosophy.
Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
Current BCCNM practicing license.
Computer literacy required, and educational technology preferred.
Ability to travel.

Salary Range
Salary Range: $65,045 - $113,545 per annum.
Additional Salary Information
Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. Salary based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement.
