About Loyola Academy
Loyola Academy provides a Catholic, Jesuit education to 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade boys who demonstrate academic promise but have had limited educational opportunities. As a result, Loyola Academy observes an extended school day and year in order to achieve the academic gains necessary to prepare these boys to be successful Brophy students. And because Loyola Academy exclusively educates boys whose families have limited financial means, there is no cost to the students and their families. Loyola Academy opened in the fall of 2011.
Loyola Academy is a program within Brophy College Preparatory and as such has access to all of Brophy’s facilities. The staff of Loyola Academy are colleagues with and supported by the current Brophy staff.
Formative experiences outside of content and academics are critical to our mission. We desire teachers who are committed to the character development and faith formation of every scholar – in addition to concern for the wellbeing of our scholars and their families. Candidates must be able and interested in promoting the Catholic, Jesuit identity of Loyola Academy and Brophy.
