Position Summary
The University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford (UICOMR) seeks a board-certified, full-time family medicine physician for an Assistant/Associate/Professor of Clinical Family Medicine position in its innovative Primary Care Clinic Program. This position involves clinical care and faculty supervision of medical students and residents in both an inpatient and outpatient setting.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Faculty supervision of the clinical care provided by family medicine residents in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
• Direct clinic patient care and management of a personal panel of patients.
• Presentation of didactics to support residency curriculum.
• Advising and mentoring of residents.
• Participation in resident and faculty recruitment activities.
• Precepting medical students on their family medicine clerkship in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
• Participation in various committees related to the mission of the College of Medicine
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• MD or DO or its foreign equivalent from an LCME accredited medical college
• Board Certified in Family Medicine
• Unrestricted Illinois license to practice medicine or Illinois license-eligible
Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated focus on or fellowship training in Obstetrics/Women's Health.
• Experience or expertise in the use of Ultrasound technology.
• Prior experience with prenatal care and conducting deliveries.
