Job Summary:
This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an adjunct professor to teach advanced design clothing construction (sewing) courses using various industrial sewing machines and equipment on campus. The instructor will also direct students in developing garments according to apparel manufacturing standards, conduct office hours, participate in learning outcomes assessment initiatives, and fulfill all contractual duties.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Teach advanced design clothing construction (sewing) courses using industrial sewing machines and equipment.
2. Direct students in developing garments according to apparel manufacturing standards.
3. Conduct office hours and participate in learning outcomes assessment initiatives.
4. Fulfill all contractual duties associated with the assignment, including grading assignments and submitting grades on time.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience in fashion design, or an associate degree and six years of experience. Additionally, commitment to community college goals and personal qualities to work effectively in a multicultural environment are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Effective communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to develop course materials and presentations.
