Job description
About the internship:
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Create and develop original fashion designs that align with the brand identity and vision.
2. Research fashion trends, fabrics, and materials to inform design concepts.
3. Sketch and illustrate design ideas, including detailed technical drawings.
4. Source and select appropriate fabrics, materials, and trims for each design.
5. Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain samples and finalize selections.
6. Work closely with pattern makers and sample makers to create prototypes of designs.
7. Oversee the fitting process, making adjustments to ensure a perfect fit and finish.
8. Develop seasonal collections, ensuring cohesion in theme, color palette, and style.
+. Create mood boards and design concepts for each collection, and present ideas to the team.
10. Ensure timely delivery of designs and samples in line with the collection's production schedule.
11. Oversee quality control during production to ensure final products meet standards.
12. Address any production issues and provide solutions to maintain design integrity.
13. Maintain organized records of design sketches, technical packs, and fabric samples.
14. Prepare reports on design progress, collection development, and production timelines for management review.
15. Work on custom design projects for clients, ensuring their vision is realized through bespoke designs.
16. Conduct client consultations to understand their preferences and create personalized designs.
