About the Job
JD Institute of Fashion Technology, a renowned fashion education institution, is seeking an experienced Assistant Professor in Fashion Design. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of fashion designing, including design process, fashion illustration, merchandising, and technical subjects. They will also demonstrate exceptional teaching, research, and leadership abilities.
The selected candidate will be expected to teach lessons and sequences of lessons within the context of the institute's plans, curriculum, and schemes of work. They will assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of students.
As a mentor, the candidate will guide students towards the course, curriculum, industry market, and help them achieve their goals. They will also be responsible for administrative services, including keeping track of course details, student submissions, and attendance.
Other key responsibilities include creating content for the syllabus or module, updating it on the Learning Management System (LMS), and participating in design events, co-curricular activities, and annual events. Additionally, they will assist students with placements and internships, and be part of live industry projects, seminars, and external fashion shows when allocated by the institute.
