The Role:
We are seeking a creative and innovative Footwear Designer to join our design team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for footwear, strong design skills, and the ability to translate trends into unique and marketable designs.
• Design Development: Create original footwear designs, including sketches and technical specifications, for various categories (e.g., athletic, casual, formal).
• Trend Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and technologies to inform design decisions and keep our product line fresh and relevant.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and production, to ensure designs align with brand vision and market needs.
• Prototyping: Oversee the prototyping process, including fitting sessions and adjustments, to refine designs and ensure comfort, functionality, and style.
• Material Selection: Research and select materials that meet design requirements while considering sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
• Presentation: Prepare and present design concepts to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and making necessary revisions.
• Quality Control: Ensure that final products meet quality standards and design specifications throughout the production process.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a footwear designer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing design skills.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CAD).
• Specialized in women's Footwear
• Strong understanding of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Creative thinking with a strong sense of style and attention to detail.
