Job description
Flynaut is seeking a creative and experienced Fashion Design Consultant/Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for fashion, a keen eye for trends, and the ability to translate client needs into innovative design solutions. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical skills, and industry knowledge to provide expert guidance and support to our client in developing their fashion line.
Key Responsibilities:
• Trend Analysis: Stay updated with the latest fashion trends, materials, and innovations to provide insightful recommendations.
• Client Consultation: Engage with the client to understand their vision, needs, and brand identity, and provide expert advice on design direction.
• Design Development: Create sketches, mood boards, and prototypes based on client requirements and market trends.
• Technical Expertise: Provide detailed specifications and technical drawings for production, ensuring designs are feasible and manufacturable.
• Material Selection: Advise on fabric choices, trims, and finishes that align with the design aesthetic and budget.
• Quality Control: Oversee sample production and collaborate with manufacturers to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
• Market Research: Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and gaps, helping to position the brand competitively.
• Presentation: Present design concepts and final collections to the client, explaining the rationale behind design choices.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in fashion design, preferably with consulting experience.
• Skills: Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD. Strong sketching and illustration skills.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and production processes.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Creativity: Strong creative vision and the ability to think outside the box to solve design challenges.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with high-end fashion brands or in luxury fashion.
• A robust portfolio showcasing a range of design styles and projects.
• Familiarity with sustainable fashion practices and materials.
