Your duties will include:
Curriculum Development: You will be responsible for developing course curricula and learning objectives for the fashion design program.
Teaching: You will lead classes and deliver lectures on a variety of topics such as design principles, textiles, garment construction, and fashion illustration. You will provide feedback and critique to students on their work.
Mentorship: You will mentor students and help them develop their skills and abilities in fashion design You will provide guidance on career opportunities and industry trends.
Research: You will stay up-to-date with current trends in fashion and design by conducting research, attending conferences, and reading publications. You may also be expected to contribute to academic journals or other publications.
Administration: You will be responsible for grading assignments, keeping track of attendance, and communicating with students and other faculty members. You may also be involved in program development and accreditation efforts.
Collaborations: You may be required to collaborate with other faculty members, guest lecturers, or industry professionals to provide students with a well-rounded educational experience.
Professional Development: You will need to continuously develop your own skills and knowledge of fashion design by attending workshops, seminars, and other professional development opportunities.
Overall, you will play a critical role in helping students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to become successful fashion designers.
