We’re looking for a passionate and creative Fashion Designer to join our team at Barneys New York! As a Fashion Designer, you’ll be responsible for creating unique and innovative designs for the Barneys New York brand. You should have an eye for trends and be able to interpret customer needs into designs that are both fashionable and functional.To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be highly creative, organized, and detail-oriented. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with our team. Responsibilities:
Create unique and innovative designs for the Barneys New York brand that are both fashionable and functional.
Incorporate current trends into designs.
Interpret customer needs into sketches and designs.
Measure, cut, sew, and construct garments.
Work with other members of the team to ensure designs are up to the Barneys New York quality standards.
Remain up to date on current fashion trends and market developments.
Manage and maintain archives of designs.
Collaborate with other members of the team to select fabrics, colors, and trims.
Produce detailed technical specs for the production team.
Ensure designs meet customer needs, quality standards, and applicable safety regulations.
