Job Description: As a Product Designer at Love Pangolin, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and functionality of our apparel line. Working closely with our design team, you will translate creative concepts into innovative and marketable products that resonate with our target audience. Your keen eye for detail, passion for fashion, and ability to anticipate trends will drive the development of designs that elevate our brand to new heights. Responsibilities: You are an expert in your technical knowledge and design ability. You act as a resource and mentor for junior team members. You excel at presenting your concepts and communicating seasonal direction and design to the design leadership team. You are responsible for designing and executing seasonal styles that reflect Pangolins Design ethos. You are responsible for both the conceptual creation of the style and the administrative work of maintaining this information throughout the season. You combine active product use experience, market knowledge, trend research, and collaboration between Pangolin designers to create functional, innovative, quality designs. You will have clear reference points in terms of understanding product storytelling, design and construction. Collaborate with the design team to develop seasonal collections that align with Love Pangolin's brand aesthetic and values. Research market trends, consumer preferences, and emerging technologies to inform design decisions and product development strategies. Create sketches, technical drawings, and prototypes to visualize and refine product concepts. Source and evaluate materials, trims, and embellishments to ensure quality and sustainability standards are met. Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to oversee the production process and address any design-related issues. Conduct fit sessions and provide feedback to ensure garments meet performance and comfort requirements. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and cross-functional meetings. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop product presentations, marketing materials, and retail displays that showcase Love Pangolin's unique brand identity. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Merchandising, or related field. Proven experience as a product designer or fashion designer, preferably within the activewear or lifestyle apparel industry. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and other design software. Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, and manufacturing processes. Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
