Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and creative Women's Indian Ethnic Wear Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Indian culture, traditions, and fashion aesthetics, coupled with a flair for innovation and trend forecasting. As a designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing a range of Indian ethnic wear for our discerning clientele.
Responsibilities:
Researching and identifying emerging fashion trends in Indian ethnic wear.
Conceptualizing and creating original designs for women's Indian ethnic wear, salwar suits, lehengas, kurtis, Fashion bottoms and fusion wear.
Developing sketches, technical drawings, and prototypes to bring designs to life.
Collaborating with the production team to ensure the feasibility and quality of designs.
Selecting appropriate fabrics, trims, and embellishments for each design.
Overseeing the fitting and alteration process to achieve the perfect fit and silhouette.
Conducting market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends.
Participating in fashion shows, exhibitions, and other promotional events to showcase our designs.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or master’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
Proven experience of a min of 4-5 years working as a fashion designer, preferably specializing in women's Indian ethnic wear.
Strong portfolio showcasing original designs and creative flair.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
Excellent knowledge of fabrics, embroideries, and traditional Indian craftsmanship techniques.
Strong understanding of garment construction and pattern making.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
