About Us: We are The Wellness Shop, based out of Jaipur, and we specialize in beauty and wellness products. We are launching a new business vertical in the "Fast Fashion" Apparel Segment for Men, which is focused on being Authentic, Sustainable, and Affordable.
Key Responsibilities: As a Fashion Designer Intern at The Wellness Shop, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced team and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of fashion design. Your responsibilities will include:
A. Assisting in Design Development:
• Collaborate with the internal team to develop design concepts for upcoming collections.
• Conduct market analysis and suggest new and trending designs for our Fast Fashion Brand, along with size and procurement strategies.
B. Material and Trend Research:
• Stay up-to-date with fashion trends, conduct market research, and suggest sustainable materials for potential use in our designs.
C. Pattern Analysis and Prototyping:
• Assist in pattern and color combination analysis.
• Test prototypes for clothing items, including the quality of the garment thread used for construction and sewing/stitching quality.
D. Final Product Fit Testing:
• Conduct final product fitting and suggest fabric and product testing mechanisms.
E. Assisting with Fittings:
• Participate in fittings and adjustments to ensure the perfect fit and design integrity of our clothing brand.
F. Collaborative Projects:
• Work on cross-functional projects with other departments, such as marketing and production, to ensure a seamless design-to-production process.
G. Quality Control:
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure the final product meets our high-quality standards.
H. Portfolio Design:
• Suggest photo shoot ideas.
• Source models for photo shoots.
• Suggest and test makeup artists and fashion stylists.
I. Documentation:
• Maintain detailed records of design concepts, sketches, and project progress.
Requirements:
• Enrolled in a fashion design program.
• Passion for contemporary and trending fashion and a strong desire to learn and grow in the industry.
• Expertise in understanding fabric quality, threads, design, and fast-forward fashion ideas.
• Creative thinking and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability to commit to a full-time internship.
