You will assist in the creation of various fashion collections, from conceptualization to execution, while gaining hands-on experience in design processes, fabric selection, and styling.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in Design Process: Help in designing new collections, creating sketches, and brainstorming concepts.
• Fabric & Material Research: Research and assist in selecting fabrics, trims, and materials for designs.
• Technical Drawings: Prepare and help with technical sketches and specifications for garment production.
• Pattern Making & Draping: Learn about pattern making, draping, and garment construction.
• Assist with Fashion Shows & Photo Shoots: Help prepare outfits for runway shows and photo shoots, ensuring everything is styled and fitted correctly.
• Sourcing & Fabrication: Assist in sourcing fabrics and other materials required for the designs.
• Trend Research: Stay updated on fashion trends, color palettes, and fabric innovations to incorporate into designs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other design team members, including senior designers, stylists, and fabric experts, to create unique designs.
• Learning & Development: Gain exposure to the day-to-day activities of the fashion design process, from ideation to production.
Requirements:
• Educational Qualification: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Skills:
• Basic knowledge of fashion design principles.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Creative thinking and an eye for detail.
• Understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and sewing techniques.
• Ability to research and identify fashion trends.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to take direction and adapt to different tasks.
• Time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
