Fashion Designer | Production Associate

Job Description • Fashion Design + Production Management - As a key member of our design team, you should be able to design, create, put together collections. Create technical packs, create fashion illustrations sketches with detail. You will be expected to work out of our Pune workshop with the rest of the production team. Should be able to oversee production on daily basis, conduct QC of products and provide firsthand suggestions and provide feedback to the team. Responsibilities • Present ideas, concepts for new drops with the team. • Do research constantly about newer fabrics in the market, prints, dyeing, finding newer • production and design practices which are more environmentally friendly. • Present the research whenever possible. • Suggest silhouettes, designs, colours, prints and fabrics etc for all the drops. • Put an entire drop together, create detailed technical packs for the drop. • Get in touch with certified fabric vendors and suppliers of all kinds from time to time depending upon the need. • Do end to end communication with them and source fabrics in whatever quantity needed. • Take updates from the manufacturing unit, give feedback, suggestions. • To communicate with the rest of the team. To constructively critique, contradict and • genuinely present your ideas, opinions, suggestions openly. • Facilitate communication and collaboration among different teams such as design, • marketing, production, and social media. Serve as a liaison between various teams, • relaying updates and ensuring seamless communication across departments. • Maintain a full-time presence at the workshop from Monday to Friday, 10 am to 6 pm in • Pune, with flexibility for travel to the warehouse/office within the city during the week if needed. • Saturdays there might be work sometimes such as production updates, photoshoots, content shoots, sampling updates. Such updates can be managed remotely if the need arises. • Oversee daily business PR operations and ensure adherence to store policies and procedures, including knowledge of fittings and sizing. • Supervise production processes, conduct quality control checks thoroughly as needed, and manage production schedules effectively. • Other duties should be undertaken as assigned. Qualifications • Graduate or Post Graduate in Fashion Design. • Good knowledge in fashion and e-commerce industry. • Strong leadership and management skills and can bring fresh ideas to the table. • To be able to deal with with day-to-day situations in a more strategic and effective way. • Knowledge about supply chain management in the e-commerce business. Other Skills • Excellent verbal and written communication in English. • Should be able to handle multiple tasks at a time. • Can handle changes head on to carry out seamless day to day operations of the brand. • Is a team player and thrives in a collaborative environment. • Able to find effective and creative solutions. • Is willing to travel within the city as well as required for brand shoots, pop ups etc.
