Job Description
The role requires the teammate to travel to work sites as required. A large majority of jobs are located in the Golden Horseshoe area, however sometimes jobs can be located further and would require the applicant to stay for the week where the jobsite is, returning home for the weekends. Hotels for overnight stays will be covered by the company, each employee will have their own room while away. Employees will also be given a meal allowance while working on the road overnight. Our work is mainly focused on Water Treatment Plants and their filters. We are willing to train candidates with Working at Heights, Telehandler and Confined Space as needed.
The below are standard tasks expected of the candidate:
-Removal of Filter media using hoses and vacuum truck.
-Demolition and install of filter underdrains. Includes use of power tools, cementing and vacuum truck.
-Install of virgin filter media via hose and pump.
-Manual labor and lifting of up to 55lbs.
-Other responsibilities as required per specific job.
Qualifications
-Applicant must be willing to travel to jobs sites and stay locally for the week as required. Employees return home on Friday's to spend the weekend at their home.
-Must be able to lift up to 55lbs and do physical labor for a full work day.
-Be a team oriented person, able to work well within your crew.
-Takes emphasis on working safely
-Valid G license with ability to travel to job sites as needed considered an asset. If not available, candidates must be able to get to the warehouse located in Stoney Creek.
