Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Filipino Health Care Aide to provide exceptional patient care in a variety of healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will support individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with disabilities, and patients requiring specialized care such as Alzheimer's, dementia, or hospice. This role involves assisting with daily activities, monitoring health status, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for clients. Responsibilities
Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor and observe patient conditions, including vital signs and behavioral changes
Administer medications and document medical records accurately using EMR/EHR systems
Support patients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies
Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and perform catheter care when necessary
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a caring environment
Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition intake
Maintain cleanliness of patient living areas, including laundry and general housekeeping tasks
Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
Document all patient interactions accurately in medical documentation systems
Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and report any concerns
Requirements
Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home health care environments
Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s/dementia, or hospice needs is preferred
Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications such as hospice care or long-term care are advantageous
Ability to operate EMR/EHR systems efficiently for documentation purposes
Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patient safety, dignity, and comfort
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
Ability to work independently as well as part of a healthcare team in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work various shifts including live-in employment options if applicable
Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity; bilingual abilities are a plus
