We’re excited to have recently launched a brand-new Friday evening academy (4:30–7:45pm) at Upton Hall School, to complement our already thriving Saturday academies!
Now, we’re looking for a dynamic, knowledgeable, and inspiring Film & TV teacher to join our team and help bring our student stories to life on screen!
THE ROLE
We’re looking for someone who can lead high-energy, hands-on sessions where students aged 6–18 learn to:
Create their own short films from start to finish
Act confidently on camera
Understand and take on various crew roles – Director, Boom Operator, Camera, Clapper Loader & more
Master the production process: scriptwriting, storyboarding, location scouting, camera work, sound, and everything in between
Each year, our students’ work is submitted to the PQA National Film Festival, and every two years we roll out the red carpet for a cinema screening of their films – a real showstopper!
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will be:
21 years or older
Based in or within easy commute of Upton, Wirral (drivers preferred)
A Film graduate or someone with relevant professional production experience
Confident using industry-standard equipment (e.g. C100 camera, LED lighting, sound kits)
Enthusiastic about working with children and young people
Passionate about storytelling, film, and empowering young creatives
Reliable, energetic, and ready to take ownership of their sessions

Where: Upton Hall School
When: Fridays 4:30–7:45pm and/or Saturdays 9:45am–1:00pm
Pay: £65 per academy (£20/hour)
Start Date: Saturday 6th September 2026
