Hemsworth Consulting is hiring Finance & Accounting Professionals for their US-based accounting, auditing, and taxation engagements.
Roles & Responsibilities
The role requires the individual to possess technical knowledge, including the ability to interpret audit and accounting standards and strong project management skills along with excellent communication and leadership skills. The employee will get a blended experience with HWC’s domestic and international clients that would enable exposure to various Auditing & Accounting standards like IFRS, US GAAP, US GAAS, and US Tax Return Preparation.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparation of financial statements as per US GAAP
Auditing of financial statements as per US GAAS
Preparation of US tax returns for individuals, and small, medium, and large corporates
Monitoring earnings, spending, and budgets, and analyzing financial performance.
Financial forecasting and presenting financial and budget reports.
Ensure that financial statements and records comply with laws and regulations.
Keeping account books and systems up to date.
Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
Competencies/Skills:
Enhanced numerical and quantitative skills.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Efficient time management skills
Work experience as an accountant
Good knowledge of auditing procedures and accounting regulations
Advanced MS Office skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong attention to detail, good analytical and communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
More education or experience would be preferred.
